Diane Bingo Tracker (D•IA•NE Bingo Tracker) measures the audience of its live bingo broadcasts. This page explains what data is collected and what your choices are.
This is a courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Data collected
Without consent (anonymous): an anonymous session (start, end, duration), the device type and the browser. This data is used only to count the audience and does not identify you.
With your consent: your approximate region (city, region, country), derived from your IP address by a third-party service (geojs.io, with freeipapi.com as a fallback). Your IP address is never stored on our servers: only the city, region and country derived from it are recorded, in anonymous form. Since an IP address is personal information, this estimate is performed only if you consent to it; no profiling is carried out and this data is not linked to any identity.
To access the service (free trial or subscription): when you request evaluation access, we collect your first and last name, your email address, your postal code, your age group, how you heard about the service (radio, social media, word of mouth, web search or other), as well as a technical device identifier (browser fingerprint). Unlike the audience statistics above, this information identifies you and is stored together.
This information serves two distinct purposes: (1) managing your access — activating your trial or subscription, enforcing the 30-day trial limit and preventing abuse (creating multiple accounts to get around that limit), using your first name, last name, email and device identifier; (2) understanding our audience better — your postal code, age group and acquisition source allow us to build an aggregated regional and demographic picture of our viewers and to understand through which channels they discover us. This information is never resold or disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes; it is used solely by Diane Bingo Tracker (D•IA•NE) for the purposes described above.
2. Why
To produce audience statistics (number of viewers, peaks, listening time, geographic reach) presented to our sponsors in aggregated form; to build an aggregated demographic and regional picture of our audience (breakdown by age group, by region based on postal code and by discovery channel) in order to guide the development and promotion of the service; and to manage access to the service (trial and subscription activation, abuse prevention).
3. Retention and sharing
Data is stored on Supabase. Your IP address is never retained; only the city, region and country derived from it are. The figures shared with sponsors are aggregated and anonymous; no individual data is sold.
Information related to your access and your profile (first name, last name, email, postal code, age group, acquisition source, device identifier) is kept for as long as necessary to manage your access, prevent abuse and produce our statistics, then deleted on request. Demographic data (age group, region) is disclosed to sponsors only in aggregated form; your individual identifying information (first name, last name, email) is never passed on to them.
4. Your rights (Law 25)
You may freely accept or refuse, withdraw your consent at any time, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information (including information related to your access to the service). If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may contact our privacy officer (section 6) or file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
